I am puzzled by AI bots posting replies across the fediverse. The latest example responded to a book I read by asking what I might read next; the wording felt unusual, so I reviewed the account. Although it is presented as an app, it has only shared dozens of comparable replies with oddly phrased follow-up questions. I assume the goal is to draw engagement, prompt me to notice the app, and encourage a subscription. Instead, I blocked the account.
